I needed a Mother’s Day Gift.

Rewind to about three weeks ago, I was trying to come up with a gift for my Mom on Mother’s Day. I didn’t want to get her a perfume that would go on a shelf, or a card that would get dusted over in a drawer somewhere.

I decided that I would get her something sentimental this go around, and my momma enjoys having pictures plastered around the living room. I decided that this go around I was going to get her a Canvas photo – and I saw that Easy Canvas Prints had a 16×20 promo for $14.99 each.

The site had all kinds of options, but I chose the 16×20 as it was the most popular (along with the cheapest) option. I’m not sure why you would opt for a smaller canvas for basically the same price.

The skepticism *was* real

Anyway, I’ll be completely honest here – I was a bit skeptical about this company as the website itself was a bit lackluster – but I decided to give it a go anyways.

The canvas itself was only $14.99. However, there are bells and whistles that you can add – some kind of protective gloss, a dust backing, etc. – but I did NOT choose any of those options. I decided to just get the plain ol’ canvas itself and see what it was like.

The shipping was an additional $9.99, but eh, whatever. After just the canvas, taxes, and shipping were applied to my order I ended up paying $32.25.

The brutally honest part

So, I ordered my package on April 16th – I ended up receiving the package on April 25th. So from the time I ordered until the time I received it, it took about nine days.

If I’m being honest, that’s a lot faster than I figured it would be.

My first impression when I went on my porch to open the thing was shock at the size of the box. Um. Was it supposed to be this big? I knew I ordered the cheapest one, but I didn’t expect it to be that large. Was I measuring my Mom’s wall when I was ordering it? Also, no.

Okay, so it was the moment of truth. I opened the box and tbh I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I honestly didn’t think it would look that good.

It was glossy. It was large. It was pretty. And I loved the people on it.

My husband got two canvases made for me from Walgreens with our photos on it, and this was just as good if not better. Again, let me emphasize the size of this thing.

Final thoughts

  • Did I think the website was a bit sketchy before ordering? Yes.
  • Am I satisfied with the quality of the product for the price? Yes.
  • Am I satisfied with the shipping cost time? Yes. Just make sure you’re allowing that adequate shipping time if you’re planning on purchasing before a certain date.
  • Was the quality there even with no add-ons? Yes.
  • Did my Mom end up loving it? Yes.
  • Would I purchase this again or recommend it to others? Also yes.

Overall, I am happy with my purchase and I’m glad I got my Mom something sentimental that she can always look at for Mother’s Day. If you’re interested in something like this, I think that you would enjoy it – and I also believe the value is there for the price.
