NEW Dollar General Clearance Event AUGUST 2nd – AUGUST 4th!

In case you didn’t know, Dollar General is having ANOTHER Clearance Event this coming August – Friday, August 2nd through Sunday August 4th!

Not only does that article provide many tips & tricks for shopping the clearance event, but it also includes some of the products from the last clearance event that you may find while browsing the store.

I’m going to skip straight to the good stuff – the visuals for this upcoming Clearance Event. These will be divided by category – if an item has digital coupons attaching to it, there will be multiple photos. One with a photo of the product with JUST the 50% OFF price, and one with a photo of the product that includes final cost AFTER the 50% OFF AND digital coupon(s).

There are sometimes issues with pricing during the first day of the Clearance Event – so don’t let that deter you. If you have matched a product and it’s UPC to one of my visuals and it isn’t ringing up correctly within the Dollar General app – POLITELY ask an employee to scan it with their handheld. This is how they can tell if an item is discontinued and should be ringing up half off. PLEASE NOTE: EMPLOYEES DO NOT HAVE TO MANUALLY REDUCE THE PRICE. If you act like a decent human being and are not rude or argue with them, most of the time they will do it. Either way, pricing is not under their control – PLEASE do not argue with them.

Don’t forget that there are sometimes IBOTTA REBATES that work with/attach to some clearance items, providing you extra cash back. If you try to do this, remember to scan with the ibotta app – and remember, you cannot stack coupons and Ibotta rebates at Dollar General.
